The chief minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar yesterday launched Lok Samvad. Lok Samvad is a public interference program. Under this program the state government of Bihar will take the feedback of the schemes and the campaign run by the state government of Bihar.
Through Lok Samvad the state government of Bihar will be able to take the feedback of the public on the implementation of development works and gaining ideas for strengthening good governance. This is a direct interaction program to the public of the state Bihar.
Lok Samvad is similar to Janata Ke Darbar Main Mukhyamantri which was launched by Nitish Kumar after coming in the power in 2005. This program came to the end in May this year with the launch of Public Grievance Redressal Act for direct interference with citizens to take the feedback.
Under Lok Samvad program the citizens of the state Bihar can make complaints to the state government if the development work is not being done properly. Under this program a complainant could make representation against any pending work, which would be solved by the officials.
The first three Mondays of every month have been earmarked for Lok Samvad program, in which minister and officials of a particular department would be present to answer people’s queries. Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav along with other ministers and officials were present on the occasion.
Asked about the difference between the past interface program and the present one, Nitish Kumar told reporters, “The earlier one was meant to receive complaints of people for taking action, but the present program is about getting their views on delivery of ‘Sushasan’ and taking ideas on how to make them more effective.
So the state government of Bihar has launched Lok Samvad program to make the interaction to the people of the state. So the people of the state Bihar can contact the chief minister and other officials for the feedback of the programs run by the state government of Bihar.
