The central government has started many new schemes to provide the financial assistance to the industries and business throughout the country.
Recently the central government has shown green signal to the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana and Start up India scheme in Tamilnadu.
Start up scheme is started for setting up new ventures and Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna is started for extending loans to existing industries and businesses.
The central government has allotted Rs 6.75 crore per district for a good start of the business under these schemes in Tamilnadu.
While under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana around 7500 people have taken the loan of Rs 4 crore through the various banks under this scheme.
Whilw under the India Start up scheme around 163 entrepreneurs have been granted Rs 2.75 crore as financial assistance to start new ventures by taking the benefit of this scheme.
Sources said that around 600 claims have been forwarded under the insurance scheme Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana.
Pradhan Mantri Surksha Bima Yojana has also been settled in all the districts of Tamilnadu.
The meeting organized by the The Indian Bank in Kancheepuram on Tuesday was addressed by the Collector R. Gajalakshmi.
The Collector addressed the meeting to popularize social security schemes implemented through the banking institutions.
The Collector R. Gajalakshmi called on the banking correspondents who played a key role in the implementation of these schemes.
The collector also addressed the people that the central government has extended the State Sponsored Old Age Pension to senior citizens to be pro-active.
The central government has started these schemes around in all the states of the country.
The Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana is to provide the loans to the existing industries or the businesses.
Start up India scheme is that under which the financial assistance is provided to setting up new venture or business.
