Mukhya Mantri Divyang Vivah Yojana is started by the state government of Bihar in February 2016. This scheme is launched for the marriage of the handicapped (Divyang) girls and boys.
The main objective of this scheme is to encourage the inter caste marriages and marriages of handicapped (Divyang) girls.
Under this scheme the state government will provide financial assistance of Rs 50000 on the marriage of Divyang girl after 18 years old.
Till 20 handicapped (Divyang) have given their applications to take the benefit of this scheme. The state government has allotted Rs 50 crore under this scheme for the year 2016-2017.
This scheme is started by Social Welfare Department to provide Rs 50000 to the handicapped (Divyang) girls who got marriage after February 2016.
If the bride and the bridegroom both are handicapped (Divyang) will be given financial assistance of Rs 50000 each.
The objective of this scheme is to encourage the handicapped boys and girls and provide them financial assistance for their marriage.
The mission of this scheme is to make the marriage of the Divyang boys and girls so that they get a respectful life in the society.
The people of any caste who are the permanent resident or living from 10 years in Bihar will be eligible person for this scheme.
There is no limit of the income to be eligible for this scheme and the applicant should be 40% or more than 40% handicapped (Divyang) to take the benefit of this scheme.
The beneficiaries of this scheme have to submit their application form with their handicapped certificate, domicile, birth certificate and the documents of marriage.
The beneficiaries can apply for this scheme after the 2 years of the marriage and the amount will be granted in the account of the applicant.
The beneficiaries can submit their application forms to Assistant Director of Social Security Cell which is available in all the districts of the state.
