Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – 3,216 Houses for Slums in Bihar

The Bihar government has announced to construct the affordable houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Bihar. The government will distribute these houses to poor families who have live in slums. The government has decided to construct 30,216 houses in the first phase of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Bihar.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

The government will construct the houses in 85 cities of Bihar under Housing For All Scheme. The government has also given the approval to 85 Nagar Nigams for the construction of houses under the scheme. The poor people who don’t have their own house and who have live in kachha house will be eligible to get house under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Bihar.

Under Housing for All Scheme state government will allot 25% and central government will allot 75% money for the construction of affordable houses. In the first phase of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Bihar state government will provide Rs. 151 crore and central government will provide Rs. 453 crore to 85 Nagar Nigams for construction houses.

The central government will soon provide the construction amount to Nagar Nigams. State government has complete their all arrangements to issue first installments under the scheme. The government will provide Rs. 2 lac for the beneficiaries for construction of houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Bihar.

The government will provide Rs. 50,000 in first installment, Rs. 1 lac in second installment and Rs. 50,000 in third installment to beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantr Awas Yojana. The government will transfer the construction amount in bank account of Beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Bihar.
