The state Revenue Department of Chhattisgarh will allot the land at Rs. 1 per sq. feet for the construction of the houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Raipur. The urban administration and the development department will construct the houses Housing Scheme for all for urban areas.
The official informed that the government land will be made available to the urban bodies under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Raipur. Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Raipur will provide the houses to the 6 lakh poor families in rural areas of Chhattisgarh.
The houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Raipur will be constructed at the total estimated cost of Rs. 7219 crore. On the occasion, the officials gave presentation on models of houses to be built in villages under PMAY.It was informed in the meeting that in three years, nearly six lakh families in rural areas of the State will be benefitted under PMAY. Government has set the target of constructing nearly 5.76 lakh houses at the cost of 7219 crore under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Raipur.
Officials informed that the central government has selected 36 cities of Chhattisgarh for PM Awas Yojana and the cities have been divided in to 8 clusters. The officials said that the central government has allocated the financial assistance of Rs. 7219 crore Rs. for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Chhatisgarh .
So the state government of Chhattisgarh will provide the land for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Raipur at Rs. 1per sq. feet. This information is provided in the meeting chaired by Chief Minister Raman Singh at the Mantralaya to review PMAY (Rural) here yesterday.
